Birthday Lemur Foldback Card

Let’s create a Birthday Lemur Foldback Card! This Fun Fold has a color combo and a designer series paper stripe coloring technique that makes the Inspiration Squad stamps even more exciting.

I love the gold stripes in this designer series paper, but I really wanted it to coordinated with this card with my three-color combo I chose — Balmy Blue, Heather Highland, and Cloud Cover. So I used the DSP Stripe Coloring Technique!

Coloring on most designer series papers is possible, and any white areas will really show the color you want to coordinate. This DSP has a gold foil element makes it even better!

How to make this Birthday Lemur FunFold:

Cut your cardstock:

• Balmy Blue: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, score at 1-1/4” and 4-1/4”, scrap for behind lemur
• Cloud Cover In-Color DSP: (2) 2-3/4” x 5-1/4”
• Regal Distressed DSP: (2) 1” x 5-1/2”
• Basic White: scraps for Lemur and for the sentiment
• Cloud Cover Ribbon: 18”

DSP Stripe Coloring Technique:

• With your Balmy Blue and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends, create stripes across the 1” strips of DSP. To minimize bleed, I would recommend doing the lighter Balmy Blue first. Adhere one to the scored flap and the other to the right side, on the same side of the card base when it’s opened.
• Next, use Highland Heather and Balmy Blue ink to stamp the confetti randomly around both of the In-Color DSP. Adhere one of these on the flap to the right of the flap, and the other to the back of the first one on the other side of the cardbase.
• Then, stamp the lemur and the birthday hat. Color each with the coordinating Stampin’ Blends, cut them out (I use my craft knife to make it easier), and glue them to a balmy blue oval. On a small scrap of white cardstock, stamp the birthday sentiment using Highland Heather ink.

Put it all together:

• Adhere the sentiment to the flap with the colored DSP, letting it hang off as needed.
• Then adhere the lemur to this same flap below the sentiment.
• Lastly, tie the ribbon around the DSP on the right side.
