Halloween Cards without holiday stamps including the Boo Envelope Card!

Making halloween cards without holiday stamps is easier than you think! Get out your alphabet dies and add a little creativity and this tutorial to make some Halloween cards, including the striped Boo Envelope Card!

While I love halloween and of course crafting for it, we don’t always have the specific stamps exactly when we need them! So this post will hopefully show that there are ways to be resourceful and still have great cards to make and send when the candy is being given out.

This watercolor card is perfect for telling spooky stories around a campfire! The watercolor technique used is easy and looks great!

Keeping with the scary campfire, this card uses the repeated stamping technique to create a fun background and has a big glittery BOO on the front with a little vellum!

To send a little BOO to someone, it’s easiest to send it in the mail. This card shows it coming out of the mailbox!

How to make this Halloween Card without holiday stamps — a Boo Envelope Card:

Cut your cardstock:

• Basic Black
  • 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored and folded at 4-1/4”
  • Scrap for die-cut envelope
• Very Vanilla: 4” x 5-1/4”
• Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie, and Old Olive: 1 strip each at 3/4”
• Scrap of black glitter paper

Stamp:

• Using black ink, ink up the first two words on sentiment stamp (or mask it with a post-it note) and stamp in the upper left corner of your Vanilla cardstock piece. Clean the stamp.
• Then, ink up the last four words on the sentiment stamp (or mask it) with black ink and stamp in the bottom right corner of the Vanilla cardstock.
• Adhere each color strip across the center of your Vanilla piece, ensuring they are flush to each other. Trim any excess from the back and adhere it your black cardbase.

Die-Cutting:

• Next, die-cut the tiny envelope from your black cardstock scrap. Fold it up, leaving the top open, and glue the tabs down. Adhere this to the left side of your card front.
• Lastly, die-cut out the letters for “BOO” from the black glitter paper and glue it to your card front with the bottom of the B coming out of the tiny envelope.
