Unicorn Cake Card from Tropical Chic Die-Cuts!
You might have seen the unicorn cake cards I created with a digital stamp a few days ago. After I finished those (and washed my dessert plate), I thought, “Why can’t I make another card with some of my fun Stampin’ Up supplies?”
Of course, I can! I pulled out the Tropical Chic set (one of my favorites!) alongside a rainbow of bright ink pads. Equally important is glitter paper! We can’t make a unicorn card without a rainbow and glitter!
With the stamping, die-cutting, and punching, this card was a lot of fun to make. The techniques you’ll see me use include inking the flower stamp with two colors, adding dimension to the inside of the ears with “ink edging,” stamping a rainbow sentiment, and transforming a tropical frond into lovely eyelashes.
See below for tips and techniques and how to make your own Unicorn Cake card with just a few supplies!

Supplies:
As shown above, it’s easy to take your stamping supplies and create something new and make something that wasn’t originally intended. If you want a unicorn, you can make one! Once I found a way to create those long eyelashes, the rest (horn, ears, flower crown) fell into place. If there is something fun you want to create for a card, take a second look at your stamps and paper stash!
