Hey Crafties! Let’s have some fun with our embossing folders! A fun technique to double the use of your embossing folders is to apply ink before you run it through your Big Shot machine. In this video, you’ll learn the embossing folder ink technique!

I’ll be showing you a way to create a background that is colored AND embossed! For this summer-ready flamingo card, an ombré sunset background with the embossed foliage seemed perfect. So I chose some beautiful ink pads and started inking up my embossing folder.

Watch the short video to see how to create a background like this using an embossing folder and a few ink pads. There are also tips on how to experiment with this technique to create the perfect background!

Such a fabulous and effective technique, I love the slightly grungy/distressed look it gives. The layout of your card and colours used work perfectly together. Thank you so much for sharing it with us at A Place To Start and good luck in the challenge. Tina Chianna DT
