Spread the Jar of Love Valentine Card!
Hey Crafties!! I was asked to join the Design Team for the Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge! I’m so grateful for this opportunity, and am excited to share these fun challenges with you. It is a new challenge blog, and this is only our second challenge, but it’s incredible.
This month’s grid challenge — designed by Andrea Parr — is to pick a row of three (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal), and create your card, scrapbook page, or other project!
Joy of Sets is also a great Facebook Group with lots of ideas using Stampin Up stamps, and other companies too. It is a great community of stampers, so definitely check it out — and then try out this months challenge– to get your creative juices flowing!
In my most recent post, I shared how to use a background stamp to create smaller elements for your project, and created little red buffalo check hearts. I decided to add some Wink of Stella and use them for a Valentine’s Day card.
I’m happy to share this card with you for the Joy of Sets challenge! I chose the top row (glimmer, red, heart).
I created the buffalo plaid hearts, stamped and die cut a jar, glued the jar outline to vellum and used foam adhesive strips to pop it up from your card.
Supplies to create this Jar of Love Valentine Card:
I’m also playing along with the following challenges:
- Addicted to Stamps and More #326 – Anything Goes
- Simon Says Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes
- The Paper Shelter #368 – Dies and/or Punches
- Simon Says Monday Challenge – Love is in the Air
I hope you find inspiration with this Jar of Love Valentine’s Day card! I’d love it if you left a comment below if you did, and consider playing in the Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe challenge. Until then, Happy Crafting!

Thank you, Sarah 😊 There were too many to keep in the jar, lol!😜
Love the WoS on the hearts – so tricky to photograph (well done)! xx
Thanks, Susan! It for sure is tricky to photograph! I had my bf using an extra light from his phone while I used my flash. I’m not sure why that made it better, but it did 😂 Any other tricks to capture glitter is appreciated!
Absolutely love your card, Laura! The Buffalo Check hearts were the perfect touch to this fabulous Jar of Love card. xx

Such a lovely card, it made me smile when I saw it.The Buffalo Check stamp is now on my wish list x
Thank you 😊 That makes me happy to hear. The Buffalo check stamp is even more versatile than I originally thought!
I seen it used a few times with white card and coloured ink but I love what you’ve done with the black on red card and die cutting it. I was going to order the Gingham DSP but I think this stamp is going to fall into my shopping basket instead now 😊 X
Thank you, and sorry for making you second-guess what was in your cart! 🙂
