Magnetic Bookmark Card Creative Haven Sneak Peek

I made this Magnetic Bookmark Card to give you a sneak peek of the upcoming Creative Haven stamp suite! The bookmark can be removed and then be used in their favorite book! The themes in this paper and stamps pair so well with the idea of sitting down with a book to relax.

I was making cards to send to everyone in my book club, and wanted to include a bookmark. Some bookmarks that I’ve made are so pretty that they could be part of the card! So I did that here and made the magnetic bookmark fold over the cardfront.

As a lover of all things hygge, plants, books, and crafting are part of my happy place. This entire suite, from the stamps to the dies to the DSP and cut-outs, had to find a way to my craft desk.

I can’t wait to create so many more projects with this crafty creative suite!

See below for how to create a Magnetic Bookmark Card:

How to make this Magnetic Bookmark Card:

Make your Card front:

  • Petal Pink cardstock: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored and folded at 4-1/4”
  • DSP 1 for card front: (2) 1-1/4” x 5-1/4”
  • Adhere the DSP to either side of your card front. Then stamp a sentiment using Secret Sea ink directly on the Petal Pink card base between the two pieces of DSP.

Make the Magnetic Bookmark:

  • Basic White cardstock: 1-3/4” x 11”, scored and folded at 5-1/2”
  • DSP 2: 1-1/2” x 5-1/4”. Adhere it down to the front of the bookmark.
  • Die-cut 2 small tags win 2 other coordinating DSP. I chose one from the Creative Haven pack and one Secret Sea in-color DSP. Adhere the pink leaves to the back of the tags and adhere this down to the bookmark. Then, tie a 10” piece of linen thread around the front flap of the bookmark and tie it through the hole in tags. Keep the layers as flat as possible as they will be between book pages.
  • Lastly, line up 2 small pieces of magnet to the bottom insides of the bookmark, adhere the backs to the bookmark, and then magnetize it together over the card front. I try to use thin flexible magnets for this so it can fit inside the book without an issue.
