Gingerbread Man Double Fold Card

This Gingerbread Man Double Fold card is cute, but then opens up again! This holiday card has a mini card on the front with the sentiment when you open the gingerbread man.

I made it super festive with a sparkly hat on the gingerbread man, a gold-foiled green background, and white embossed frosting.

How to make this Gingerbread Man Double Fold Card:

Cut your cardstock:

• Very Vanilla: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” for top-fold card
• Cherry Cobbler: 4” x 5-1/4”
• DSP: 3-3/4” x 5”
  • Die-cut a coordinating hat for the gingerbread person
• Pecan Pie: 5” x 7”

Put layers together:

• Although this is a bit out-of-order from my usual steps, I sometimes like to put some of the simple layers together to keep my craft desk from getting too messy and confusing.
• Next, adhere the DSP layer (I used the Mossy Meadow and gold side) onto the Cherry Cobbler layer, and adhered this to the front of the Vanilla layer.

“Bake” Gingerbread Man:

• On the Pecan Pie piece of cardstock and the versamark ink, stamp the gingerbread, face, and buttons along with anything else you’d want to add to the front. Sprinkle with white embossing powder, tap off the excess, and heat until it becomes shiny. Then die-cut out the double gingerbread man. Fold it in half, stamp the sentiment on the inside, and emboss it like you did on the front.
• Lastly, adhere the die-cut hat to the head, use stampin’ blends markers to color the buttons, and adhere the back of the gingerbread to the card front.
