Farmhouse Florals from Bag Card Paper Pumpkin Alternative

A Farmhouse Florals from Bag card was the first alternative I wanted to make when my August 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit arrived in the mail! A little cutting and a little stamping is all it takes to make this fun card pop!

Paper Pumpkin kits are a great place for beginner stampers to start, as you don’t need to add additional supplies to the kit. They are also great for seasoned crafters to give themselves a little time for being creative and pairing with supplies we already have!

To get more out of your paper pumpkin kit, try changing up the colors and add a cardstock card base, like we did with this one.

When I am looking for something at the bottom of a giant bag, it’s often easier to just turn it upside-down and shake out the contents. That’s the inspiration I had for making this card!

How to make this Farmhouse Florals from Bag Card:

Cut your cardstock:

• Calypso Coral
  • 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4” for card base
  • 3/4” x 4” for sentiment strip
• White card base from kit: 4” x 5-1/4” for layer

Stamp the contents of the bag:

• Using Calypso Coral ink, stamp the stemmed flowers upside down on the white layer as if coming out of the bag and a few of the other flowers randomly from the kit. Then, use Darling Duckling to stamp a few more of the flowers randomly around the other flowers.
• Stamp a bird in the upper right corner. I used the one from the Sending Love stamp set, and colored it in with the Lost Lagoon Stampin Blends.

Last Step:

• Using the Secret Sea ink spot found in the kit, stamp the sentiment along the Calypso Coral sentiment strip, and adhere it along the bottom third of the white stamped layer. Trim any excess, and adhere this layer to the card base.
• Next, adhere the bag, handle, and flower die-cuts using the dimensionals. Lastly, add a few of the Darling Duckling flat pearls to your card.
