Shakin Bacon Party Piggy Birthday Card

This Party Piggy Birthday Card uses multiple pinks for a mostly monochromatic look, and the head shakes and wobbles for fun! See below for how to stamp out the background and get the party started!

With this cute and festive piggy, using 4 different shades of pink was the first color combo I wanted to use!

Stamping directly on the piggy belly will work, but I decided to die-cut out the center with a medium circle and adhere a different pink from the back to stamp for this card.

The pig head can be adhered directly to the card, but the wobbler makes this card extra fun! And a sentiment like “what’s shakin’” needs a little SHAKE on the card!

How to make this Party Piggy Birthday Card:

Cut your cardstock:

Melon Mambo: 11” x 4-1/4”, scored at 5-1/2”
Flirty Flamingo: 5-1/4” x 4”
Pretty In Pink
- 3/4” x 4” for the top sentiment
- 2” x 2” for the piggy belly sentiment
- Scraps for flag pennants and party hat
Petal Pink: Scraps for piggy head and piggy body

Stamp:

Using Melon Mambo ink, stamp the confetti repeatedly on the Flirty Flamingo layer. With Early Espresso ink, stamp the sentiment on the Pretty In Pink strip. Then, adhere the sentiment to the top of the confetti layer and adhere this to your card front.
With the brown ink, stamp the pig head and the pig body on the lightest pink (Petal Pink) cardstock. Color in the spots with Melon Mambo Blends. Next color in the flag pennants and the party hat with the same markers. Then either die-cut these 4 pieces out or fussy cut them. I prefer to use my craft knife.

Create the Pork Belly:

Die-Cut or punch a circle out of the center of the piggy body. Next, stamp the party sentiment on the square of Pretty in Pink and use a thin line of glue to adhere it to the inside of the belly. Trim any excess. Attach the pennants to the arm and adhere this to the card front.
Lastly, adhere the piggy head to the top of its body with a wobbler.
