Diagonal Shuffle Cards
These Diagonal Shuffle Cards have three uneven tiles of Unbounded Beauty DSP and coordinating glimmer paper from Stampin Up. Use the tutorial here for the easy cutting technique to quickly and easily make cards in bulk with minimal supplies.
This is a very fun and useful cutting technique, which has also been called the Tile Mixup Technique whether you are a beginner card maker or a seasoned crafter.

A secret about this technique? It’s easy to cut just a little bit of DSP (or use scraps) for a single card or to cut a few sheets to create multiple matching cards in a snap.

How to make Three Diagonal Shuffle Cards:
Cut your cardstock:
- Basic White: 11” x 4-1/4”, folded at 5-1/2”for our top-folding cardbase
- Petunia Pop Glimmer Paper: 4” x 5-1/4”
- THREE different papers to shuffle – I used 2 dsp’s from Unbounded Beauty and basic white
- Each of the three should be cut to 3-3/4” x 5”
Cut Diagonally:
- Stack your three papers together.
- Then, on the top paper and using your trimmer and a pencil
- Mark on the left long side at 1.5” and 4” from the top
- Mark on the right long side at 2.5” and 3.5” from the top
- Next, use your trimmer to cut from the top left mark to the top right mark. Make sure you cut cleanly through all three pieces of paper in your stack. And then do the same from the bottom left mark to the bottom right mark.
- Shuffle these pieces so each card front will have a mix of papers.
Stamp and Put it all together:
- On your white pieces, stamp your needed sentiment using Petunia Pop ink.
- Adhere the pieces to your glimmer paper using tear tape leaving a small space between, and adhere that to your card base.
