Cats Meow Valentine Card
A Cats Meow Valentine Card uses the monochrome stamping technique as well as the Featured image coloring technique for a fun card for your favorite cat person. I focused on using Moody Mauve, which is a great In-Color from Stampin Up, as well as Meow Mates and the sentiments from Friendly Seagulls.
These stamp sets are perfect together for a Valentine’s Day for my sweetie, as we not only love cats, but also have a cat that LOVES fries. Any carb, really. I used to think Garfield wanting lasagna was a joke until we brought home our one cat and found him trying to sneak away with a bread bag!

Monochrome stamping is a fun way to add texture to your background without adding too many different colors. I used Meow Mates, which is an online exclusive currently available.
The Featured Image technique is another way to use a large image or multiple images and have a few specific ones stand out.
See below for how to create a Cats Meow Valentine:
How to make a Cats Meow Valentine:
Cut your cardstock:
- Moody Mauve
- 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored at 4-1/4” for the cardbase
- 4” x 5-1/4”
- Basic White
- 3” die-cut or punched circle
- 1/2” strips
Stamp your background:
- Using Moody Mauve ink, stamp the Meow Mates stamp on the Moody Mauve layer. This is the Monochrome Stamping technique. Your stamp is very large, so ensure you add equal pressure around the whole stamp. Adhere to the card base.
- Then stamp your sentiments on the white strips and cut them out. Put them to the side.
Stamp and Color your Feature:
- On your white circle, stamp the Meow Mates using black ink. Use your pencils or coordinating markers to color in a few of the cats. Adhere it to the card front using dimensionals.
- Next, use the black ink to stamp the French fries on a white scrap. Color it in.
- Lastly, adhere the sentiments at the top and bottom of the circle along with the fries.
