Cocoa Smore Hello Card with White Embossing
A Cocoa Smore Hello Card can be created with just a couple neutral colors and a little stamping. Heat embossing in white makes the cacao pods pop against the sweet browns and cream colors.
Inspired by a card challenge, I created a card inspired by S’mores (that delicious combination of graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows) and using shades of brown, cream, and white.

I really like this combination of colors, even though I don’t use neutrals together very often.
The Lovely and Sweet stamp set was the first set I thought of when going for this smores theme, and the Season of Elegance designer series paper (DSP) matched perfectly with the delicious colors.

How to make a Cocoa Smore Hello Card:
Cut your cardstock:
- Very Vanilla: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, folded at 4-1/4”
- Early Espresso
- 4” x 5-1/4”
- 1-1/2” x 5-1/4”
- 3-1/4” circle
- Designer Series Paper: 3-3/4” x 5”
- Crumb Cake: 2-3/4” circle
Create your background
- Using Early Espresso ink, stamp the sentiment in the bottom right corner of your DSP. Adhere this to your large Early Espresso piece.
- Using Versamark ink, stamp the pattern repeatedly on the strip of Early Espresso cardstock, sprinkle white embossing powder, and tap off the excess. Heat until it’s shiny. Next, adhere it to the left side of your background, and adhere that to your Vanilla card front.
Make the Cacao Beans for the Cocoa Card:
- Using Versamark ink, stamp the cacao pods onto the Crumb Cake and heat emboss it with white embossing powder. Then color in the pods with Early Espresso stampin’ blends. Adhere this circle to the large Early Espresso circle, and then use dimensionals to stick these to the front of your card.
