I love changing up the kits — creating things different than the intended projects! This time I made an interactive Pocket Card.

Pull the butterfly piece out of the pocket for a hidden message!

How to make a Pocket Card Paper Pumpkin Alternative:

Cut your cardstock:

• Moody Mauve: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, folded at 4-1/4” for your card base
• White and Champagne Cardbase from kit
  • Cut one part to 4” x 5-1/4” for your front layer
  • Cut the back part to 2-1/2” x 3-1/4” for your pull-out piece

Create your pocket:

• Stamp a sentiment along the bottom of the beige and champagne piece. I used the sentiments from a previous Paper Pumpkin (Memorable Meadows April 2024).
• Add adhesive (I used the tear tape included in the kit) along the back of the beige and champagne piece at the bottom, left, and right. Adhere this to the bottom of your white front layer as a pocket and trim off the excess.
• Next, adhere this pocketed front piece to your card base.

Make a pull-out butterfly piece to put in the pocket:

• Stamp another sentiment at the bottom of the piece. Adhere your big butterfly at the top. Slide it into the pocket.
• Lastly, adhere your other butterflies to the front of the pocket, without adhering to the white layer (that would close the pocket you just made!).
