Sending Love Envelope Card

This Sending Love Envelope card is a colorful way to welcome someone new to the neighborhood or a fun way to just say hello. Coordinating DSP makes it easy to change if you want to make it unique.

I LOVE make pretty envelopes that match cards I send out. A fun envelope makes me excited to open fun mail so this card pays homage to those! What do you think? Are you a fan of fun envelopes or prefer plain white ones?

Let’s be honest: what we normally get in the mail (bills yuck) will never be as joyful as a card from a friend. Let’s make this one together to bring a smile to someone’s face.

Like this Designer Series Paper? Me too! But other papers will also make the die-cuts for this card pop.

See below for how to create a Sending Love Envelope Card:

How to make a Sending Love Envelope Card:

Cut your cardstock:

  • Berry Burst: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, folded at 4-1/4” for your cardbase
  • Basic White: 6” x 2-1/4”, and 1” x 1-3/4”
  • Designer Series Paper
    • 4” x 5-1/4”
    • 3” x 3” for the larger envelope
    • Scrap for all of the small envelopes

Stamp and make the little envelopes:

  • On the larger white strip, use memento black ink to stamp the top and bottom edge with the dashes and to stamp two of the cancel post lines. Adhere this at an angle across your DSP and trim the excess. Next, adhere this to your cardbase.
  • Using black ink, stamp the mini-envelopes onto berry burst DSP. Die-cut or fussy-cut these out, and adhere along the right side of the card front.

Make the big envelope:

  • Die-cut the larger envelope from a coordinating DSP. Then fold it leaving the top flap open.
  • Stamp your sentiment at the top of the small white piece using black ink. Adhere this note inside the envelope. Lastly, adhere this envelope to the front of your cardbase.
