Copper Christmas CAS Card

Clean and Simple (CAS) cards are a bit out of my comfort zone. I typically add lots of layers and embellishments! But while making LOTS of cards for the holidays, there is a lot of advantages to quicker designs. This Copper Christmas CAS Card checks those boxes.

For the month of November, here is our grid for the Joy of Sets Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! To play along, just pick a row, column, or diagonal — and create something to share! We’d love for you to join!

I chose the top row for this simple card: CAS, Winter, Heat Emboss. After designing a Clean and Simple card, I used the pine trees stamp from the Rooted in Nature set coupled with the Season’s Greetings stamp from the Still Scenes set with copper ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder for even more shine!

Heat embossing is definitely an easy way to give even a simple card an extra fun factor. A little powder goes a long way.

Are you more comfortable creating CAS cards, or do you prefer more complicated designs? I often create more complex cards and always love to try new techniques, but sometimes it’s perfect to simplify and go back to the basics. Whichever style you prefer, I’d love to know why!  Please leave a comment below and share your style!
