Paper Pumpkin August 2018 Alternatives: 15 Blissful Blooms from One Kit!
I’m sharing some Paper Pumpkin Blissful Blooms Alternatives!
I get so excited when my paper pumpkin kit is in the mail! Stampin Up ships the kits on the same date each month, but I can’t help checking the tracking updates until it arrives on my doorstep. (Read to the bottom to find out about a $5 Kit Flash Sale!!)
Normally, I rip open the box (carefully because I also re-use the sturdy boxes), clear my desk, and lay out all the pretty papers and stamps and embellishments and ink. Maybe let the colors and theme simmer a day or two to come up with something creative.
But this time, with the gorgeous blooms in the kit and the Blackberry Bliss ink spot, I knew I would have to wait a little extra time to sit down and do these cards justice. So this post comes a bit late…Halloween took over my desk and this set deserved a little extra time.
Ideas for Paper Pumpkin Blissful Blooms Alternatives:
I probably could have made more than 15 cards from this kit, but I really love how these styles turned out. The stamps let you create so many more projects with the addition of some cardstock. I did this with this card:

Don’t forget you can use the leftover vellum sheet as a stencil!
I used the vellum sheets with the leaves as a stencil and used Lemon Lime Twist and Mossy Meadow to sponge leaves around the edges of white cardstock. I stamped a few of the blooms using Blackberry Bliss and Flirty Flamingo, fussy cut them, and added all of them using dimensionals to the card.
The Silver Embossing was difficult to capture with my light (the contrast is much greater in real life!), but the sympathy sentiment stamp fits perfectly in the Everyday Label Punch! With a little ribbon and extra vellum leaves, I added them using dimensionals to the card.
Another card I made is very similar to the suggested kit card, but…

Sometimes a small and easy addition can really make a card feel more personal.
The suggested card is lovely to begin with, but I wanted to add a little embellishment, so I sponged the incluced Blackberry Bliss around the edge and added a scrap of ribbon behind the sentiment tag.
